A.W.A.R.E. Town Hall & Panel (Rock Hill, SC)

About this event Hosted by Catawba Central Labor Council. Featuring dignitaries from SC Congressional District 5. Under the leadership of our state federation President, Boris Gibson, we have introduced the A.W.A.R.E Campaign, which stands for Advancing Workers Advocacy Rights & Equity. This campaign has been developed as a response to the challenges posed by the current dynamics of legislation, particularly the DOGE and the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill," which we believe have negative implications for workers and progressive organizations. The AWARE Campaign is designed to unify efforts among workers, their families, pro-worker organizations, and elected officials under one common banner. As part of our official AWARE launch, we have organized a short tour from July 24th to July 27th, which will include a series of listening sessions, press releases, labor and faith dinners, and leadership meetings. This tour aims to foster dialogue, build connections, and strengthen our collective advocacy efforts.
