🗣️ Compare the Words and Voices of Democrats vs. Republicans — It’s Horrifying!

Ever notice how the tone tells the truth?
When you line up the words and voices of Democrats beside their Republican counterparts, the contrast is chilling.
One side speaks of unity, compassion, and democracy — the other leans on fear, division, and raw power.
Hearing them side by side is like watching light and darkness debate the future of America. 🌎

💌 Why Writing to Congress and the Senate Matters

Your words carry real weight. Letters, emails, and calls to your representatives influence decisions, shape legislation, and create a public record of where the people stand.

This isn’t just civic participation — it’s your megaphone in the halls of power.

Tips for Making an Impact:

  • Be personal. Tell a quick story — why this issue matters to you.

  • Be polite. Passion gets heard when it’s respectful.

  • Be precise. Focus on one issue and one action you want them to take.

🖋️ Write to Them. Speak Up.

Whether you’re fired up, frustrated, or full of hope, let your representatives hear your joy or your fury.
Silence never changed history — your voice just might.

Messages from Local Congress and Senators and my Response!

Dear Friend,

America has a problem. It’s November 4th and we are in the midst of the longest full-government shutdown in American history. I have joined my Republican colleagues in voting to reopen the government 14 times, but each time, Democrats have blocked the legislation.

Most Americans are rightly disgusted with having their government shut down. Both parties have engaged in this behavior. It always results in disruption, particularly for the most vulnerable and those who protect and serve our nation.

However, the U.S. Constitution requires Members of Congress to receive compensation, even during a government shutdown. If Members of Congress had to forfeit their pay during government shutdowns, there would be fewer shutdowns and they would end quicker.

In that regard, I have introduced a constitutional amendment that, if ratified, would bar Members of Congress from receiving a paycheck for the duration of a shutdown – and no backpay. This is the most constitutionally sound way to deal with this problem.

I believe it’s wrong for Congress to get paid while hardworking Americans go without their paychecks. If Congress fails to fund the government, Congress should be held accountable.

Shutdowns are foolish exercises—this constitutional amendment would force Congress to start acting responsibly.

Importantly, my amendment would redirect congressional salaries back to the U.S. Treasury during government shutdowns to make payments on our debt. America is $38 trillion in debt, and it is past time for Congress to start seriously addressing this issue.

In order to become the law of the land, this amendment must be passed by two-thirds of both the House of Representatives and the Senate and then be ratified by three-fourths of the states. This requirement is a high bar to reach, so I need your help to build a broad base of support for this idea.

I would love to hear your views on this subject. Please click HERE to share your opinion (two questions) about this constitutional amendment.

Together, we can bring accountability to Congress and pay down our debt.

Sincerely,

Lindsey O. Graham
United States Senator

From the Desk of Congresswoman Nancy Mace

As your Representative in Washington, we're working every day to fight for our Lowcountry values. This newsletter is your inside look at what’s happening in D.C. and how our team is serving you right here at home. Whether it’s securing our borders, standing up for our military, or protecting your freedoms, we’ve got your back.

Here’s what we’ve been working on in Washington:

As the Schumer Shutdown enters its fourth week, we're calling on the Left to put America first.

It’s time for Democrats to stop the theatrics and start governing. The Schumer Shutdown has become the second-longest government shutdown in U.S. history, yet Democrats refuse to end their political tantrum.

Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) released the following statement as the Schumer Shutdown enters its fourth week:

“What the Democrats want to do is, they want to put African locusts ahead of paying our troops. They want more than two million dollars to pay for insects in Africa. They want LGBTQ, alphabet soup, millions to go to those people, again, in the continent of Africa. They want QT stuff in Honduras, feminine democracy, it has nothing to do with America.

“In the meantime, what they’ve done is put our troop pay at risk. We have 34,000 troops here in South Carolina whose pay is at risk on November 1st. Thank God Donald Trump found some money to pay our troops on the 15th. I don’t know if he will be able to come up with that on the 1st, but they’re putting all these foreign insects even and LGBTQ stuff ahead of getting our troops paid, which, we’re also risking 25,000 federal employees getting furloughed, as well as our troops not getting paid November 1st.

“It’s so un-American, what’s happening today in this country.

“And just so you’re aware, if our troops aren’t getting paid, I’m not getting paid.” stated Congresswoman Mace.

See the full clip of Congresswoman Mace delivering this statement HERE.

As Democrats hold the government hostage, here’s the ransom they’re demanding:

  • $24.6 million for “climate resilience” projects in Honduras

  • $13.4 million for “civic engagement” initiatives in Zimbabwe

  • $3.9 million for LGBTQI+ democracy grants in the Balkans

  • $2.3 million for “desert locust reduction” in Africa with a “gender equality” focus

  • $2 million for “organizing for feminist democratic principles” in Africa

  • $400 million per year for global climate projects, including a “Blue-Green Bank” in Barbados

  • $2.7 million to advance “inclusive democracy” in South Africa

  • $4 million for the “New Alliance for Global Equality” to expand global LGBTQI+ awareness

  • $45 million for the Pan American Health Organization, accused of forced labor and human trafficking

  • $75 million annually for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which promotes divisive global agendas and anti-Israel bias

  • $107 million for the International Labor Organization (ILO), which works to unionize foreign workers and punish U.S. corporate interests abroad

  • $29 million for the World Trade Organization, long enabling China’s trade abuses

  • Nearly $300 million each year for peacekeeping operations in Somalia

  • Unlimited taxpayer funds for free healthcare for illegal aliens

In solidarity with South Carolina’s servicemembers, Congresswoman Mace continues to refuse her own paycheck during the government shutdown, emphasizing members of Congress should not be paid while America’s troops go without.

Congresswoman Mace sent a letter to South Carolina financial institutions urging them to protect military families from penalties, fees, or foreclosures during the ongoing shutdown.

Our office will remain open during the shutdown. Please reach out at Mace.House.Gov/Contact.

We're Urging Financial Institutions To Stand With Servicemembers As Democrats Hold Troop Pay Hostage

✉️ Draft: “Dear Nancy Mace…”

Dear Congresswoman Mace,

Please, for the love of common sense, stop “fighting for my values.” You clearly don’t understand what they are.

Also, could you stop spreading those tall tales about who’s causing the shutdown and who’s starving whom? You sound less like a leader and more like someone auditioning for a reality show called Gaslight America.

Your crusade against diversity and compassion is… well, un-Christlike at best. I’m sure Nero would admire your flair for performance, but perhaps not your theology.

Meanwhile, your colleague Ralph Norman is at least helping food banks — or at least pretending to. You might want to take a page from his playbook and pretend to care too.

In short: please stop embarrassing South Carolina, stop pretending cruelty is courage, and consider stepping down. Go enjoy your next talk show appearance — but leave governing to the grown-ups.

Sincerely,
A Constituent Who’s Still Paying Attention
