🗳️ 2025 Municipal Elections: Local Voices Rising

Democracy doesn’t only live on big election days — it lives right in our towns and neighborhoods. This year, our Carolinas turned toward the ballot box, and here’s a snapshot of what that looks like.

📍 North Carolina:
Turnout reached 16.16%, with 336,410 ballots cast out of 2,081,396 registered voters.

📍 South Carolina:
Statewide turnout was 3.93%, with 43,672 ballots cast out of 1,112,032 registered voters.

These numbers reflect progress. Every vote cast in a local election — for mayor, council member, school board — matters. They shape our school budgets, our parks, our streets and community safety.People are waking up — and showing up!
2025 turnout jumped to 16% in NC and nearly 4% in SC.
